Subhash (PARESH RAVAL) has spent the last 10 years unsuccessfully trying to get acting parts in films. He makes ends meet by his uncanny ability to think on his feet committing small time cons on unsuspecting victims.
One night he saves a man’s life, to do so he puts his own at risk. He accompanies the injured man back home. Subhash is awe struck at the grandeur and affluence of Mr. Adenwalla. (NASSERUDIN SHAH) Subhash realizes this may lead to a generous tip.
Soon enough Subhash is hired by the grateful Adenwalla as his driver. The wife Mallika Adenwalla (NEHA DHUPIA) resents Subhash for his proximity to her husband and senses this man taking advantage of her husband.
Subhash now firmly ensconced in Adenwallas house and heart discovers his wife’s evil designs. On the other hand, Adenwalla, driven to the point of insanity by his money hungry wife decides to take the ultimate revenge. He puts his wife in a catch 22 situation by throwing down a challenge.
Subhash recognizes this as an opportunity to rid him-self of a life time of middle class mediocrity and poverty. He collaborates with Mallika to acquire all the money and property.
Working hand in glove, they get a caretaker (TARA SHARMA) with the help of their family lawyer (BOMAN IRANI) to be a witness to an ailing Mr. Adenwallas presence in the house which they concoct their plans.
Several thrilling situations arise in their plan, ranging from false alibis, double-crossing, phony kidnappings to hidden agendas which wreck havoc all around.
But even the best laid plans can go awry and this brings ACP Gokhale (OM PURI) and Inspector Borkar (VIVEK SHAUQ) into the picture.
How the scheming Subhash gets trapped in his own lies and how he finally manages to save his skin, forms the crux of the story.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is the story of an ‘odd’ couple played by Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma who find true love in the backdrop of a dance competition called "Dancing Jodi".
Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan), a man working for Punjab Power, who falls in love with Taani (Anushka Sharma) the flamboyant, fun-loving, vivacious girl for whom the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with the colours of rainbow all until unforeseen circumstances changes it all and brings them together. They get married and lead a not-so happy life due to huge age difference between Surinder and Taani. Taani, meanwhile, wants to participate in a reality dance show called "Dancing Jodi," which is the main backdrop of the movie. The dance contest showcases couples of all races, colours, backgrounds and sexual preferences. Taani wants to take part for the show, but she is not able to due to her husband’s lack of fashion statement. Later on when Surinder finds out about his wife’s wish to participate in the reality dance show, he undergoes a major change. Taani keeps falling in love with her changed husband.

amit ( Irrfan Khan ) and Mita ( Soha Ali Khan ) are married but not made for each other.

He loves to experiment in bed and wants a sexually aggressive wife, but Mita is an intellectual who cherishes delicate moments of love and wants to go slow with her sexually impatient husband.
Expectedly, Irrfan falls for his curvy aerobics instructor ( Payal Rohatgi ) who is a sex bomb with a defused intellect.
The wedge in Samit and Mita’s marriage forces their friends Rishi ( Rahul Bose ) and Simi ( Konkona Sen Sharma ) to ponder over their dull married life. Deep within, Rishi, a professor, is tormented (pleasantly though) by sexual fantasies about his student Raga (Saba), while Simi, an agony aunt for a magazine, finds herself getting attracted to Veer ( Rahul Khanna ), an art director nursing a heart break. But, willy-nilly, Simi ends up playing a matchmaker between Veer and Mita (Soha).
How this tangle of adulterous flings plays out for each character is what ‘Dil Kabaddi’ is about.
Director Anil Senior takes inspiration from Wood Allen’s ‘Husbands and Wives’ and gives it a desi spin by tilting the story more towards sex than relational complexities. ‘Dil Kabaddi’ starts off pretty well but gets repetitive in the second half when you find the same ribaldry being played out over again in different situations. The story keeps spiraling in circles till the fag end when the director probably realizes that the freaking plot is heading nowhere and tries to give it a definitive direction.
What keeps your interest from waning is the performances by Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen and Soha. Irrfan appears as if he’s just had a shot of the world’s most potent aphrodisiac, while Soha is effectively restrained and uptight. Konkona is highly expressive and Rahul Bose manages to impress despite his accented dialogue delivery. Rahul Khanna seems laidback and disinterested in his role. Payal Rohatgi fits the role of a bimbo who stimulates passion in the opposite sex.
